About Me

I am a 3rd year student at Washington University in St. Louis majoring in Electrical and Systems Engineering and the interdisciplinary Beyond Boundaries program, and minoring in Dance. I have a deep interest in mechatronics, robotics, systems design, decarbonization technology for sustainability, service, and dance. I love how combining thoughtful, artistic design with innovative technology can solve societal challenges. I believe creative collaboration is key to achieving ecological recovery for our world. I aim to combine entrepreneurship, engineering, design, conservation and the arts throughout college and in my career. I am currently doing independent work exploring the use of capacitors for de-carbonization. For over 13 years, I was part of the global nonprofit Destination Imagination program, building creative solutions to service learning challenges related to conservation, hurricane relief, pollution and more. I love being a Resident Advisor to an amazing group of first-year students, and my hobbies include hip hop (as part of WashU's Urban Hip Hop Union), inventing, and performing magic. I cherish my experiences volunteering at the Dallas Zoo and earlier, the Dallas Museum of Art. I am proud to be a Disney Dreamer Academy 2020 Top 100 graduate, and a global top 500 finalist in the 2021 Rise Innovation challenge sponsored by Schmidt Ventures and Rhodes Trust.
